Drop Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
    2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in butter and milk just until moistened. Drop batter on a lightly greased cookie sheet by the tablespoon.
    3. Bake in preheated oven until golden on the edges, about 10 minutes. Serve warm.


    Pumpkin Pillows Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup pumpkin puree
    • 2 1/4 cup flour
    • 3/4 cups sugar
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp cloves
    • 1/4 tsp ginger
    • 1/4 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 1/2 cup softened butter
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup raisins (optional)

    • Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
      2. Combine dry ingredients, mix with a fork.  Add 'wet' ingredients.
      3. With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until well blended.
      4. Increase speed to medium for 1 minute.
      5. Place spoonfuls on cookie sheet
      6. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 18-20 minutes.
